The country house atmosphere makes The Dales ideal for stylish private functions. Up to 40 people can dine in the Oak Room with its splendid wooden floor ideal for dancing. Marquees on the extensive lawns make a wonderful summer venue. Our function team will help you plan your special event and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Meetings and conferences
The peace and quiet of The Dales make it an excellent place for serious discussion and concentrated thinking. The Spurrells will seat up to 40 for meetings, with food and drink arranged to suit your plans.

Thursford
The largest Christmas Spectacular in England is held annually at Thursford, 13 miles from the Dales. One, two and three-night breaks in November and December include dinner, bed and breakfast, show tickets and return coach travel.

Murder Mystery
Unravel a mysterious murder while you dine in the unique surroundings of an authentic steam train. Two night breaks include dinner, bed and breakfast return travel and tickets for the mystery evening.

Twitching Breaks
Our bird expert, Andy Stoddart will take you on two field trips suitable for the season. Wildlife artist James McCallum will use his watercolours and sketches to illustrate a presentation on local wildlife. Your package includes two guided field trips with three night’s dinner, bed and breakfast, packed lunches.
Christmas
A country house Christmas is a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season. Just let us do all the work. Our 4-night Christmas break takes in the Seaside Special at Cromer Pier, the traditional lunch on the big day and more fine food.
New Year
Relax and see the New Year in with a gala dinner with musical entertainment as the centerpiece of our 2-night break.
